Hi, Iβm Chloe
Iβm a UI/UX Designer (Product Designer) living in Amsterdam.
I am a curious and driven Communication Science graduate with a unique journey into UI/UX design. My 'why not' mindset led me from coding exploration to creating user-centric designs. My background in understanding the dynamics of human interaction, media, and technology equips me with a distinct edge in creating seamless and meaningful experiences.
Six key qualities. β¨
-
Challenge π
Looking back, I've realised that I grow the most when I step outside my comfort zone. At 17, I moved to New Zealand alone, without speaking English. I also did skydiving, even though I'm afraid of heights. And now, I'm pushing myself in my design journey, taking on new challenges every day!
I believe nothing is impossible. The more I challenge myself, the more I learn and growβnot just as a designer but as a person. Challenges make me more creative, confident, and resilient.
-
Curiosity π
I have always been curious. As a kid, whenever I visited my grandparents in the countryside, I would explore every corner of the village, draw maps, and discover new places. That same curiosity now shapes how I approach design.
When something interests me, I don't wait; I explore, learn, and try it out. I always ask why, how, and what if? These questions help me understand users better and create designs that are not just functional but meaningful.
-
Passion π₯
I love what I do. Design excites me, challenges me, and keeps me motivated to grow. I feel a spark when I see well-designed products and thoughtful user experiences.
Once, I asked myself: "If I am a billionaire, would I still continue this career?" My answer was yes!!! ( I thought, "Wow, I must really like this π). I want to be great at what I do and reach the top.β More importantly, whatever happens, Iβll never be discouraged and keep going.
-
Teamwork π
My background in Communication Science has taught me how important trust and respect are in teamwork. I'm easygoing and naturally get along with people, but I also know that good teamwork isn't about being friends; it's about working well together toward a shared goal.
I love teams where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas because there's no such thing as a bad idea! Different perspectives, cultures, and experiences make teamwork exciting. Good communication and open minds lead to the best results.
-
Learning π
I believe there's something to learn in every experience. Even a simple conversation with a child can bring a fresh perspective or a new idea.
As a designer, I know that learning never stops. I love getting feedback because it helps me improve. Every project, every conversation, and every challenge is a chance to grow.
-
Consistency π
Growth comes from consistency. Since starting my UI/UX journey, I've committed to learning, experimenting, and improving every day.
Every few months, I take time to reflect on my progress and compare myself to who I was before. Every year, I become a better person and a better designer.
